After reading the article in the link, it would appear Ms Gourd was trying to downplay what happened. In the article she implies that the Republicans were hardly there...they "were given a chair". But on tv she stated that they were in her offices for a few days making corrections.

I can't say whether the law was violated in this setup but it certainly does not look good. A Republican election supervisor allowing Republican campaign workers to make corrections.
