People are not buying from pc's and lingerie's from GTW and IBI; that means consumers are feeling the pinch and bargain hunting. If you want any exposure to holiday shopping season, I think COST, BJ, WMT, EBAY and UBID are far better bets.

The GTW point is that Palms, PDA's, notebooks, anything mobile IS doing well...George Gilder has predicted the wane of the PC era and the dawn of the Telecosm which will be populated by billions of mobile devices wirelessly connected to everything, it should surprise no one when a company anchored to the "Big Box" PC falters. The boom of mobile devices comes at the expense of Gateway...if one has a 500MHZ PC, one simply does not need a 1000MHZ PC to run the same old applications, whereas PDA's, etc, have a new killer app...mobility and info on the go. The shoppers are buying and they are buying technology, just not the "old" technology. This makes me all the more bullish on QCOM...who is going to connect all these mobile devices?
