Vol - Futures are actually recovering a little and now down mid 50s. Sure that can get worse by the morning but I think there has been a real panic this evening as people are jittery anyway BUT GTW is a specific case. There will be other specific cases but the economy has not just fallen over a cliff. It has no doubt slowed and slowed more than most expected and the OPEC tax is now no doubt taking a bite and so is the unwealth effect and interest rates but there is as yet no evidence that the economy has collapsed to the extent suggested by the GTW warning.
