No, I can't prove it is true. That it is why it is the THEORY of evolution and not the LAW of evolution. I also can't prove the existence of G-D and am not willing to discount that either. They have proven that the building blocks of life (proteins, amino acids) can synthesize themselves in primordial conditions (or it is also possible they were synthesized elsewhere and carrier here embedded in meteorite rock during the period of time when the earth was cooling).

I think you just have trouble extrapolating over the incredible amount of time involved. I think that chaos theory and fractals have proven that it is possible to have incredible complex structure form from entirely random inputs given enough time.

Given that I can neither prove, nor disprove evolution, or the existence of G-D, I am agnostic. That I believe evolution to have more evidence and reason as a solution I side with that explanation. The two possibilities are also non exclusive, I might add.

"Adaptation to environmental elements is one thing. Evolving out of some primordial ooze is entirely another."

Just because an idea is complex or distasteful does not make it untrue.

How does it feel to be in the same category with those people in the 1500's that still claimed the earth was flat?
