Speaking of Florida and human zombies.

I wonder how many people are considering relocation or retirement to Florida. And how is Strom Thurmond doing these days?

Regards,

The synapses have been stirring around since I made a comment about our country right or wrong and more recently, the subject of alcohol sent me off the the library. I dusted off some books and found the original passage...

Stephan Decator [A toast at a party in April 1816]
Our Country! In her intercourse with foreign nations may she always be in the right; but our country right or wrong

Lesser known is the reply from G.K. Chesterton...

My country right or wrong is a thing no patriot would think of saying except in a desperate case. It is like saying, "My mother, drunk or sober."

Just something to have handy at the next party, when you're looking to drive someone away.
