Folks on that stuff can watch a 20 car pile-up and keep a smile on their face.

good point...or as someone put it during the impeachment proceedings: the polls showed people cared more about the Dow Jones than about Paula Jones. imo Bush has clearly won the PR side of things by now, not least because the market shows a preference for Shrubs. also, he looks like the more restrained, and thus more 'presidential' of the two. actually with hindsight i think we can already state that his post election tactics were a winner. funny enough, it's highly likely that people will find out once the impasse is resolved that it wasn't about the election after all...the market would have sunk anyway.
