I checked a few aftermkt bid/ask prices versus lows today
they are almost all at or above today's lows
didnt look at PC related techs though

I suspect Naz will open near today's lows
possibly descend further on bad psychology

let's see if we can get thru the week without more warnings
or disappointments

Looks very specific to me too Limtex, also one of my partners just got off with an analyst who also believes it is company specific. GTW is a "formula" company, cutesy, folksy ads, etc. for that "down home" feel. That may well not be playing well any more...basically GTW's pitch is "you are stupid and don't know how to run a PC, so buy from us." We are years into PC penetration into the home and small office and frankly most people know how to operate a PC now, thus for subsequent purchases and upgrades Gateway is not appealing. The analyst said it is as much a reflection of a marketing failure, not evolving with your customer, as it has to do with demand for PC's. We should not measure the health of the entire technology sector by performance of a "niche" marketing company.

Today the GTW warning is company specific and the economy is not as bad as it looks. Not trying to be nasty but isn't this type of warning, along with lower stock prices exactly what you have been calling for? Now it seems it might be happening and you seem to be changing your tune. Whats up?
