Has anyone considered that it might be a P4 effect? Introducing a new PC a couple of months before Christmas is dangerous. Some people are probably thinking that they should wait until the new year to get the new model when the price comes down, rather than buy something now that will be obsolete in three months. Hopefully the P4 story will balloon from here until the general public gets the message. I do feel sorry for those grey-haired folks Paul saw buying a P4 system. I am sure they were happy with their purchase while it was still in the box, but I bet they were as pleased as punch about their Edsel as well, back when they first bought it.
