In case you didn't notice, I'm not the least bit interested in your ridiculous straw man argument about playing MP3s on a 486, and as near as I can tell, nobody else is either. I'd guess there are a few $5 DSP parts that can play MP3s too; so what? If you want to carry on bizarre parallel universe arguments where 486s outrun Pentiums but the P4 is the best thing since sliced bread, I highly recommend the scambus thread. There's plenty of people there who dig that kind of logic there. I find it entertaining on occasion, but it's sort of a bad habit. I will now avail myself of the simple aid that SI provides for breaking such habits wrt your posts.
