Fyo, OT: Re: And some of those who did half-slept through the thing. A major disappointment in my book. IMO "2001" is one of the best science-fiction movies ever made. I have to admit that I'm a very big Arthur C. Clarke fan (he wrote the screenplay together with Stanley Kubrick) but this movie is IMO a perfect example of intelligent entertainment (compare that to today's action-flick with virtually no plot to speak of). Too bad Kubrick died before completing his last big project A.I. (it's now produced by Steven Spielberg instead). Andreas
