<"The Government which governs best, governs least"
Thomas Jefferson>

Does that come under the holy Richard commandment of "thou shall not manipulate?" Or, should we place the Bush welfare proposal, in the form of manipulative tax cut hand outs in that category of big government too?

The government which governs least is Big Mulitnational Corporate Government, which is a form of activist government that just seeks profit and greed at the expense of small business and the common man.

Jefferson made that statement in regard to the massive taxes that the British imposed on the thirteen colonies, which is way out of context today, in the sense in which you are abstractly using it.

I don't think Jefferson would like what George Bush stands for at all: The Tyranny of Multinational Corporate Government.
