fyo, AMD may not make much more money than they do here.
India has formidable tarriff barriers and there could be 10-20% duty on processors.
It is a bastion of proitectionism, however I am not sure of the exact rates of duty on processors. Does anyone on Si know this?

Those are just fake prices AMD feeds to the media. Actual prices are significantly lower. I doubt AMD has ever sold a Duron to anyone for $170.
