Because I believe that the Boy Scouts may have their reasons for not wanting gays. If you noticed I didn't make a judgement on this, and actually pointed out that the same terrible crime could have, and may have been committed some other time, by a straight man.

If you don't think the fact that a scout was killed by an active scout leader drives a little policy at the Boy Scouts, then you might want to think again. That kind of thing sticks around for a long time.

That is why I posted it. Make the connection.
