Well yes and no.
I should have sold Qcom right after the 156 point up day.
Because that's ridiculous.
But in Sept, when my mutual funds had gone up 150% in a year and then back down half of that gain in five months, I decided I'd decided I'd better take the gain I still had and got out.
I was right that time, although it seemed like it was the "low" at the time and October was coming and lots of people here said "October will be ok because Sept was so bad". Instead Oct stunk. I have now decided I will always get out before Oct unless I have long term holds with VERY low entry points....barring a fed decrease in interest rates at the time.
Octobers stink because of mutual fund selling.
But I know what you mean and I'm wondering: will sunw, emc, etc ever go back so high we are again euphoric and had better sell because we want to buy more?
Wow what a market this a.m. Quite expected...and it's because of EARNINGS folks, the most dangerous reason for market failure because its endemic in the economy.
