IT depends which God's eye you're tipping them into doesn't it?

Cosmic's God doesn't find anything sinful. Cosmic's God is a sort of resonance in the universe (as I understand him).

What you don't understand is not everyone has the same conception of sin as you. It's not that we BELIEVE it and are choosing to be "naughty" anyway. We aren't. Or at least I'm not. I am making my way through the world being "good"- in my conception of good. And I think about it a lot, which means I don't act out of anyone else's playbook without examining my actions. And no one will exculpate me if I make a mistake. The good I do far outweighs the bad. On balance I've been kind, many many more times than I've been mean. I've been generous, many many more times than I've been stingy. I am proud of 99% of my life- and the very small percentage I'm not proud of, has taught me compassion, and the need for change- so I cherish every mistake because it made me who I am, and I love me. I think I am wonderful. I have compassion for you, even. You seem unhappy. Anyone who considers them self a vile sinner has GOT to be unhappy. You depend on the whim of a God you imagined for yourself. If I were going to imagine a God for myself I'd imagine him completely forgiving, completely understanding, and only full of goodness. No real omnipotent being would be full of the small emotions that your God is. No real loving being would want to hurt any living creature, no matter what they had done and ESPECIALLY not simply because they couldn't believe in it- that is SO petty and small minded. Your God is worse than I am, because I would never do the awful things your God would do. So I can't believe an omnipotent being exists who is less loving, less caring and less understanding than I am. That just doesn't make sense, Chris. And if it did, would it be right to praise such a small minded hateful being? If your God existed he would be much worse than Hitler- because he's been on a rampage for much longer. I wouldn't worship Hitler and I wouldn't worship your God. Not for any goody I was offered.

Think hard, I really want you to consider this instead of just hammering away a response you think others might approve of.

This is very bizarre!! I don't run my ideas by others or consider their impact on others before I post here. This thread is about free thought and discussion. The thing is that the bible says one thing (a fact), logic says another (my opinion based upon fact) and the two are incompatible. You have a philosophy that is incompatible with how I live my life. That's fine with me, but it doesn't seem to be fine with you.
