DOUG, You, obviously, did not read the posts between Neocon and I that preceded the one you chose to comment on. He is the one that talked about rural, and wilderness type, places on the east coast in the Virginia area. I was just pointing out to him that there were not that many truly pristine, out of the way places, to go. Even in the high desert of Nevada, and the Rocky Mountains, modern man's machines have left their mark.

I know how to get off the beaten path, and you would have known that had you read the other posts. I don't know where you are from, but the wilderness that is left in this country has been tainted by the pollution of the foibles of men. Trees are felled without proper replacement. Streams and rivers are no longer pure enough to drink from. Where there were once only animal trails, there are now ATV tracks. Yes, there is still some wilderness left, but it is dwindling faster than you may think, no matter how far you go to find it. ~H~
