Privately, however, Gore's politicians doubt that the court would accept George W. Bush's appeal only to rule against him in behalf of the Florida Supreme Court. That IS the key. For the SC to accept the case is already 2 strikes against aLgORE. Usually, the only time they accept cases that will lose is when the case is like a LOT of others and a question of law and interpretation of the Constitution is needed to guide those cases. FWIW, I have read over 200 SC cases as a hobby-- mainly 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 10th Amendment cases...
