Earlier in the year it was mentioned in an article in "EE Times" that API was working on a SMP chipset for the Athlon. I believe it was about the time that HotRail bailed. I'll try to get a link.

Nope. That article was the first I heard of it. One thing I can say is ...

Holy crap! I just noticed that this stock went down to $15 5/16 today. Wow, that's under 5.5 P/E assuming $1B y2k earnings.

... one thing I can say is that it's kinda nice that we're suddenly being hit from all sides with positive infrastructure news.

API chipsets.
Apparently this goes way back. This from 1999.

Note the Rambus memory on the AMD dual chipset. Also they were talking about Mustang too.
