Where in that article does it say that she was in line for an ambassadorship?

It says she wanted one. I would imagine most state SOS's would like an ambassadorship. It would be a career advancement.

That has nothing to do with what you're asserting.

It is one thing to be seeking a job in an administration or to have been offered a job in an administration - it is quite another to answer a reporter's question as to what she would like to do if asked. That does not rise above the level of a reporter's speculation. I still see no evidence of what you claim - which is that she will get a job or is bucking for a job in the Bush administration.
