El: Don't know. Nokia are also a supplier and so it is unclear who is driving the implementation...it even could be a separate project manager (there are quite a few around) to ensure no bickering between vendors.

As far as I see, Ericsson need not partner anyone as you suggested as thye are quite possibly provide the most complete networks compared to any one supplier.
