yep...my guess is the early selling was mainly from Europe. US funds and individuals only buy dips, they never sell them. presumably until all the money has gone to money heaven. this is not to say that the professional bag-holders from Europe are any better....the bulk of their buying coincided with the March top. no matter what the dollar does, they're hurting now.
the early pop in gold was identified as a shorting opportunity it seems...
