The CNBC staff must be having a bad week. First they lick Jack Welch's boots and carry the ENTIRE news conference showcasing the new CEO. Now, today, they pat themselves on the back with an extensive interview with the NBC west coast VP bragging about their ratings. A whoring we will go. The standard for this kind of thing used to be a brief mention, or ignore it altogether...but ratings are a BIG DEAL if you are winning them. To test this theory, ask yourself, would they give this much airtime to a CBS ratings win? Phooey.
