John-- he is not being dishonest. There was time. The SC set that time.

PBC missed it because they took a day off.

Dade decided, AS WAS THEIR RIGHT, not to recount.

In all laws there is the underlying assumption you need time if none is spelled out.

The statutes are open for debate-- that is what courts are for...

Since I never said that, it cannot be the source of ostensible dishonesty. I said there would ordinarily be plenty of time for the sample hand count. My point was that if there were a demonstrated need for a full hand count, it would be the basis for the Secretary of State to use discretion in allowing amended results after the deadline. Absent that, she was within her rights to certify. Since machine failure appears to be the ground for moving to the most burdensome remedy, and only voter error was alleged, she had no reason to refuse to certify on time.......
