Unfortunately, that article was by Mike Magee's evil twin Andrew Thomas, who has been known to shamelessly recycle bits from various web sites without credit, when he's not shamelessly sucking up to Intel. The isotopically pure silicon bit is interesting if old, but large scale production of stuff like that is, shall we say, a sensitive technology. On the other hand, the equipment might come cheap as the nuclear industry is a little moribund these days.
