Hi Rory. Tape typical of when few players have Bear Market experience:

Even 1987 is not a good example. The worst of that one was over much more quickly than in a typical bear market.

This time? Perhaps as a series of selling climaxes followed by tradable rallies. And yes, the first could occur almost anytime in the next few days.

This is just a guess. But, for what it may be worth? At some point, IMHO we'll easily surpass the current 1 day record Dow point decline.

Drop of 600 or 700 points on the biggest meltdown day is doable. BUT if this Bear is going to last longer than the 87 decline? We most likely won't have a PERCENTAGE down day as big as 10/19/87.

As for me? Just watching the show on the tape AND the tube and sitting on the mountain of cash built up gradually from intermediate gains (mostly weeks ago) and a few scalps more recently.

Not in any hurry to chase anything. But watching<g>.

The only shopping I'll be doing today is actual gift buying after the close. Nice break from watching the politicos and most investors go bonkers.

BTW, nice work with ROYL.

Best
