His conclusion seems to be that an analyst who is now suddenly blind, must downgrade to protect his job, ie it is better to be wrong on the downside, short term. They are like someone who is driving along and a sudden rainstorm blinds the road. What do ya do, you slow down and pull over. Good analogy. In a year's time, or so, they can always say 'sure I downgraded back then', but a lot of people won't know when they did. TV
