Joan - I am looking for those software companies that will provide the infrastructure for the internet sites and receive royalty revenues similar to Oracle's business model.... Not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe similar enough is Wind River Systems, WIND. Good Luck, Don

Joan, The leading internet infrastructure application servers -- this is generic internet support software -- are Bea Systems' WebLogic Server and IBM's WebSphere. TIBCO's The Tib and Vitria's workflow software are strong players in enterprise application integration installations. Netegrity is a strong player in providing distributed security services. All these companies were still very expensive last time I checked, though I believe they are getting less so daily ;-).
