The Street responds.

A couple of weeks ago I emailed the author of a story that lambasted CIEN for their irresponsible journalism.

"I would be thrilled to see responsible journalism from TSC. I've read over the past few months about the optical bubble at TSC. Fortunately, some of these stocks are the real deal. They sport higher P/E's because of their extreme growth rates (but you already know that), which is drastically unlike the dot com bubble and the host of failed companies contained within it.

It seems you guys are always pushing your agenda. Responsible journalism shows both sides of an argument. Here are two of the many links I could send you justifying valuation for Ciena. They show names and sources, something TSC has seemed to forget about while pushing their agenda."

He responded today with this email;

Just wanted you to know that I have published another article, following up
on my 12 stocks that defy gravity story.

Here is the link: thestreet.com

Enjoy.

These guys have quite a sense of humor!

your praise is misguided. roth is a buffoon. 5 years ago he was going to shut down the dwdm optics division because he didn't see it fitting into nortel's long term plan. mike unger, who headed the division until early this year, fought with him for months before convincing him to go forward. unger was responsible for all the key acquisitions (ie: cambrian from newbridge). he is the one responsible for nt's positioning. roth was right place, right time and still almost screwed it up. analogies to clinton and the US economy are correct.....

sorry for the triade; couldn't help myself.....
