Will they suck it up and do that or will they let this whole thing slide into the abyss?

The question of whether or not to reverse the Florida SC ruling won't, in itself, cause irreparable damage, which ever way it's decided.

The really dangerous issue is the Gore teams request to have the USSC negate the Florida legislatures right to convene in special session and chose a slate of electors. This could potentially open a very ugly can of worms if the court were to side with Gores argument. Perceived judicial usurpation of constitutionally mandated legislative powers could throw the country into a situation that I don't think we really want to get into.

Gores legal team needs to be very careful about the direction they're taking. By delaying the inevitable, through any and all possible means, they are making the situation more potentially dangerous to the country with each passing day.

JDN -

Either way. Bush won.

Gore lost. Gore needs to pack his sh*t and move on.
