Gore has clearly enhanced the market's uncertainty....Higher interest rates, a slowing economy, and Tech firm warnings are not helping either. If Gore AND Greenspan would both admit they made mistakes. Gore needs to a concede that he has lost and Greenspan needs to pump extra liquidity into the market -- sooner rather than later. If Greenspan does not act decisively in the next few weeks then we could have a MUCH WORSE situation than 'a soft landing' for the economy. The wealth effect is clearly NOT an issue any more. Greenspan needs to do the right thing for the economy and the country -- and IMO that is NOT to just sit back and let things play out.
