Bouncing back from the bottom.
Is anyone surprised by today's action? I'm not. Just want to make sure that we're all on the same page....

rudedog to Duke - you will excuse me if I have been leaning into the single malt a little over the last 2 days. Just got back from a nice break - We escaped again to Hawaii, taking advantage of the school holiday over Thanksgiving (with a couple of additional days to make a 10 day spread) and I am proud to say I did not log on or watch the market or the election nonsense or ANYTHING (well maybe a few accidental TV sessions) for the whole time. Just as well, I sure did not miss anything exciting.

CPQ has a lot of capability in various areas of streaming technology, especially on the provider side. I don't think Sun has any particular expertise in that area - they really don't do much software investment outside of the OS and java stuff. They picked up some tools technology with Forte, but they have never been into basic R&D in any serious way. CPQ has a set of labs in Palo Alto where a lot of work around various streaming media and compression stuff has been done, and also storage schemes to support streaming media.
