Lawdog, fyi ... Jack is a Nickname for John. Remember John F. Kennedy? His LEGAL first name was John, but most people called him Jack. FYI ... Jack is also the americanized version of Jaques (sp) which is the French version of the name John or Jon. I suspect that John is Jack's legal (given as on his Birth Certificate) name, and of course he would use his LEGAL name in a LEGAL brief or letter. JMHO, FWIW .... Voyager
