Ratan, <So we are down to finding 'smarter' and not just plain smart, intelligent, honest, with integrity, honorable.....>

This is a relativistic society we live in. Grades are based on a curve, employees are judged against each other, moral standards are compared to anything which suits our convenience, and even the meaning of the word "is" is up for grabs.
