<<It wouldn't surprise me if it was the bottom.>>

Greg - You are absolutely nuts.
we are easily 2957.93 from the bottom +- 1 3/8

In all seriousness I think 1900 or so will be the bottom.
I not not believe there was capitulation today.
The Tick count was extreme -1200 or so, but there was no big rush of buyers as the short term trin (SSTI) never went below 1 at any time today.

Near but not quite panic selling, no panic buying, just nominal short covering.

No bottom. Perhaps a 200 point rally to sell your NTAP and SEBL for a profit and to reload your shorts on JNPR, BRCD, RIMM etc etc.

I have to admit CREE looks very attractive but since it is not worth 1 3/8, why bother. I am holding out for ZERO!

A very very reliable buy signal is given when the tick count hits -1000 and the trend (SSTI) is below 1 (.5 is fantastic coupled with a bearish tick count)
