dog won't want to answer your question. the whole goron premise is to ignore the fact that some people don't vote for anyone for president. If they faced the normal nonvote their whole case evaporates.

Right. Counties with optical scanners will have less error so more of the undervote is actually a non-vote for President. But if you're right, then Bush has nothing to fear and he should go ahead with recount (BTW, your using inccorect information that was spread by Cheney and Baker for your argument).

Tim, I listened last night on MSNBC (I believe - have to verify) a statistician working with a National Election Review Board (also not certain of this name - need to verify). He stated that nationally, there is traditionally 4.8% - 6.0% of ballots that are note able to be tallied as votes. This is due to a number of possible situations including undervote, overvote, damaged or mutilated ballot.

He was not able to provide detailed breakdowns of the situations above, since most states only report in bulk.
