We were expelled from the Garden into a hard wilderness, according to Genesis. Nature is often beautiful, but it is also wild and cruel. Hurricanes destroy more than man, within their sphere, and they are of Nature. Earthquakes are not good for anyone. Natural fires, caused by lightening, rip through forests and cause untold devastation to habitat, without the efforts of man to control them. Excessive breeding will cause deer to overgraze their territory, and bring mass starvation. Absent sufficient natural predators, it is often necessary to call a special hunt in areas of Maryland to thin the population, before it ruins its grazing areas. Nature is quite capable of inflicting its own wounds......
