Howard,...It is the rest of the Country that is talking about kicking Florida out of the United States <G>. At least Floridians can do as well as the Sudanese (with a living standard to match <G>) if Florida can manage their oil resources as well as the Africans. (Probably not too likely).

The cleanest way to develop Florida's energy reserves is to use the Rentech or ANGTL process to make diesel fuel from natural gas. Coastal should be able to find the NG on it's huge leasehold offshore Florida, especially near the Texaco NG discovery. Plus NG itself could replace some oil-fired electric power plants, that risk an oil spill as oil is delivered, like just happened on the Mississippi this week.
