14:15 ET Microsoft (MSFT) 58 5/16 -6 3/4: Apparently there was some talk on trading floors that Lehman said MSFT would miss their quarter, but the Lehman note -- while cautious -- does not go that far. Lehman says that weakness in consumer PC market (15% of MSFT revenues) is a "wild card" for the Dec quarter, but that revenue estimates were conservative already and Windows 2000 and SQL 2000 are strong.

800 new lows; FWIW, hit something like 1160 in Oct. 98.
