The average American is never on a equal footing. First, he has to mortgae his entire estate to hire an attorney(whom he must blindly trust), enter a court in which he understands little and finally rely upon a jury not of his peers, but chosen by attorneys. Let's just say the fix is in. I'll guarantee that the average attorney's yearly income is a tad higher than the average Americans. The easiest way I know to get severely disenfranchised is to go to court, any court.
