It was only necessary for the Florida court to divine the intent of the legislature in enacting conflicting statutes. They did this by using standard rules of judicial construction. Kenneth, Are you saying there was no way the deadline previously in place could not have been upheld? If so, why? P.S. Now that we know the Illinios case cited by the FSC was misrepresented to them by Boies in regards to the counting of dimpled chads, what does it say if they then don't take it for what it did said, namely, that dimpled chads should not count?
