John... I'm concerned about CPQ's holiday pc sales as well. Pcs continue to be a smaller contributor to CPQ's revenue stream(pcs were 19% overall in Q3 although probably expected to be greater in Q4) and it's my hope that increased sales of high-end servers, storage, and service will make up the difference if there is a shortfall in pc sales. I'm a little concerned that MC's note didn't indicate that the Q was in the bag or "blessed" as he had some time back. I didn't like the following, either "This is the big Christmas season…and you've got to have enough inventory out there," Winker said. "There is nothing abnormal whatsoever about the inventory levels that are out there." What he forgot to say is "if we have a great holiday season and sell the hell out of our pcs." Our best chance is to meet or beat expectations via other products and service regardless of the holiday's pc sales success. El
