Very interesting, Graciella. I wonder if you or anyone else would care to offer a comparison between the communications world's content/box/pipe idiom, and that of the electric utilitiy industry's model which supports electric appliances/power generation/high-tension lines. While you're at it, take a look at what's happening in California and elsewhere around the nation, the world... these days. The information superhighway and its byproducts in the way of ecommerce and tele-you-name-it, apparently, runs on fossil- and nuclear- generated electricity, after all.
