And in the meantime are we to keep providing the 20 year old guy (who refuses to acquire any skills and ambition by joining the military or getting funding to go to school) with money for drugs and guns?

Seroiusly flap, there will always be injustice in the world. Jesus Himself stated, "The poor you always have with you." I actually have no problem with the government doling out essentials to underprivileged folks. However, turning it into a business of beauracracy is not the solution. Hawaii is a classic example. Government doling out programs have eroded the work ethic here to the point of total chaos. Hawaii is ranked 50th out of 50 states for being business friendly. 49th in education, 49th or 50th in highest taxation. All under Democrats ironclad rule. The good news is that 1/3 of the population woke up and voted Republican this election. I still vote Libertarian, Repubican or whatever. But change we desparately need.

For instance, I never could have become, say, a chemical engineer, no matter how much I would have desired to become one. I fared poorly in subjects like chemistry and calculus. Nor could I have ever become even an average singer. I can't carry a tune in a bucket, although I love classical music, especially good choral music.

I suspect you left out quite a few things that you couldn't have become. So, in order to make a long story short, maybe you could describe what you could have become?

TIA
