Kash,

I agree about being careful. CPQ's Capellas presents at the tech conference (CS First Boston) tomorrow. I may sell on any further bounce, but I really do think they will have a good quarter. They are doing great in Europe thanks to AMD. Shoot! There I go again talking about fundamentals. I guess I'll never learn.

Pravin.

RE:"First except for last couple of days the DOW was doing MUCH better than NAZ. This points to your thesis that the tech wreck is due to political uncertainty as BALONEY."

Kash, The DOW has been in a correction for 18 months. The NAZ and tech were much more vulnerable. On top of that just a few DOW stocks are holding up that average.
I can understand Gore man like yourself discounting the election effect on the market but rarely is it just one thing that drags down the market. OTOH, single events can result in triggers...and start a chain reaction...often dragging down a market much further than it normally would go. One requisite of these events is the surprise factor...
The result of this election had that...
Let's see what happens when the election is resolved. I think when the markets sniff a resolution they rally big time. Then we will see...

Instead of your continual whining - try and think before you keep posting this BS about gore/bush uncertainty of last 3 weeks ruining your product portfolio over last 12 months.

As a good republican - remember the mantra of personal responsibility - take a deep breath and smell the roses.

Kash,

Good post...thanks.
