Paul Cherney believes that capitualtion occurred today. "The chart action on Thursday was exactly what you would expect to see on a capitulation day; there was a gap lower, the indexes moved lower throughout the day, prices lifted from the lows and there was huge volume. Until proven otherwise I have to call Thursday a day of capitulation."

Panic selling has been taking place in stages (semis, PCs, telecoms, fiber optics, etc.). Today we saw panic selling in the networkers. What is left? Is over-valuation a problem in any remaining sector? If this was not the bottom, we are close to it. How much lower will AVCI go below 16? I bought today at 17. RBAK, EMLX, BRCM, JNPR and other momentums are ready to roll, at least for a bear market rally.
