Greg, I used to be Libertarian, but Reagan gave me a vision of how the Republican party could implement Libertarianism where the Libertarian party could not.

My brother-in-law was at the YAF convention in 1969 when the YAF and what became the Libertarian party split into conservative and Libertarian factions. One of the main issues was the Viet Nam War - the YAF supported the draft, the Libertarians did not. I wasn't aware of this at the time, down in Baton Rouge in 1969 I opposed the draft, too, but I thought I must be a leftie because I never heard of Libertarians.

In 1972, the first time I could vote, I did not because I couldn't vote for Nixon OR McGovern.

I didn't hear about Libertarianism until 1975, and I became a Libertarian and was a Libertarian until Reagan became president, and showed us all that it was POSSIBLE, possible, just possible, that a smaller federal government could be constituted, if only we would do it. Of course, we didn't.

I don't love Dubya, but I hate the alternative.
