But, I would like to add that I am responsible for running an office albeit not the same type of office as Markman. The bottom line is that I would be fired if I didn't produce or keep a certain standard for both myself and the individuals in my office. I can't argue with your point about investing in management. I have stated this before, but I invested (and remain invested) in the technology. If it weren't for the "product" I would have divested many moons ago. I sincerely believe that the stock would still be at its pitiful level regardless of the overall market sentiment. Why? Because Markman has continuously failed to produce in terms of revenue and he has, once again, relied on preferred financing to keep the company afloat. He has done this since the middle of 1998 and he has yet to change his method of operation. My question is why? Is Markman receiving some sort of kickback? Will the company declare Chpt 11 without this preferred financing? Couldn't he have sold the company at a much higher price since Markman said the stock price is "so" undervalued? That is the $64K question. The only entity (or entities) making money off this is the preferreds. IMO they have made $100s of millions by shorting the stock during the reset periods and then selling long. Who else has made money since 1998 on this stock? They have inside information and that is wrong (Look at the registration of their shares in late October, 1999 about 2-3 weeks prior to the GM announcement and then have the price run up to to $18. IMO that is not coincidence.). Markman has done nothing to stop this manipulation. If you think I am off base, then look at the reset periods since 1998, look at the price about 5-10 days prior to the Series H deal, and look at the price recently. Markman has allowed this manipulation without saying a word (Look at some of the lawsuits that have been filed against these same preferreds by other companies). All I can say is that I invested in the technology and not Markman. He is a disgrace to this company IMO. Take care, Kurt
