lapdog, I have no problem with the history of the GOP. The Republican Party was founded by Abolitionists. The first Republican President of the United States was Abraham Lincoln. If the Democrats had their way, they would have destroyed the country and kept slavery going for another 50 years. We are the party of respect for the Constitution, the law, and the Republic for which it stands. The Democrats have always been pretty sleazy. The first Democratic President was Andrew Jackson, a slave owning Southern jackass...as they were known. His inaugeral ball destroyed all the furniture in the Whitehouse...and interestingly enough, he may have become President through massive voter fraud. Stealing elections has always been the specialty of the Democrats, a tradition that ALGore is doing a fine job of continuing. -John
