Ashcroft put his campaign on hold for a week during the Carnahan wake/funeral/grieving. Then he revved up the road show and ran a hard race right up to Nov. 7. In fact, Ashcroft had little choice but to do what he did. It was not a matter of honor; it was a matter of not appearing to be disrespectful. This was all worked out by his Repub managers. Nobody stole the election; votes were cast and Ashcroft came in second banana.

Don't you get tired of carelessly throwing around words like "stole" and "liar"? When such terms are used in a hackney fashion, they lose their clout. They carry more impact if you pick your spots.
