fp,

<AMD market cap is $4.8B. They should announce a buy back program if they have any cash available. >

Agreed! Jerry was out on CNBC telling the stock was undervalued at 90+ (pre-split). I am baffled why the management has not taken any action on buy backs yet (a 10Mu share buyback which will hardly dent the cash flow this quarter).

<It is hard to find companies whose market cap is roughly equal to their revenue. >

Not in the semiconductor business anyway!

<Unfortunately, the market can remain irrational for much longer than we can stay solvent.>

Hope it works out for you.

Good luck,
Chuck

Not while Jerry's at the helm. His mantra is "the stock will take care of itself".

AMD is generating cash at the rate of 250Million/Q!

Even a buyback with 1Q's cash would buyback 16 million shares.

They could easily sell the stock back later once the market has recovered. They have a shelf offering out anyway.
